Governor Chris Christie today announced the Non-Federal Cost Share (“Match”) Program is now allowing local government entities in the nine New Jersey counties most impacted by Superstorm Sandy to apply for reimbursement of the funds they used to share in the cost of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance for emergency activities undertaken during the storm’s immediate aftermath.

Furthering his commitment to the environment and modernizing critical New Jersey infrastructure, Governor Chris Christie signed legislation authorizing up to $1.94 billion in state financing for projects to improve drinking water and wastewater infrastructure across the state. The funding includes $776 million to upgrade and protect facilities from storms and flooding such as occurred during Superstorm Sandy.
