Township Council to Dedicate 640 River Road as the “Mary Topolsky Memorial Garden and Trail” on 9-25-16

Teaneck, NJ – (RealEstateRama) — The Teaneck Township Council will dedicate the property located at 640 River Road (across from Kipp Street) in Teaneck, NJ as the “Mary Topolsky Memorial Garden and Trail” on September 25, 2016, at 12:30pm.

Mary Topolsky created the design plan for an ADA accessible trail from River Road to the Hackensack River, which included a sitting area with a butterfly garden near the roadway and a calm meandering trail leading to a bench sitting area at the riverside, designed to accommodate visitors with mobility challenges. She also designed the native flora to help establish a wildlife habitat for birds and other river fauna.

Since her passing on January 21, 2015, Mary Topolsky’s last wish for this project was to establish a memorial fund in her name to help fund the sitting area, with the hope that additional funding through grant applications from the state and county would be accepted to provide funding for the remainder of the project.

All members of the community are invited to attend this dedication and to tour the garden and trail.
