Residents Deem Recent Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day Parties Organized by the Community’s Social Committee a Huge Success

MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J. – June 5, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — It was a warm, sunny Memorial Day with burgers and hot dogs on the grill, music in the air and dozens of friends socializing by the pool. It’s a little slice of America, a scene that could have occurred anywhere in the country, but it was a particularly gratifying celebration for residents of The Pointe at Turnbury in South Brunswick, who have taken it upon themselves to organize clubs, events and activities that make life in the active adult community more enjoyable.

The Pointe at Turnbury’s Social Committee, an active group of residents who help plan a variety of recreational activities all residents can enjoy, organized the Memorial Day celebration and a recent Cinco de Mayo party. The committee volunteers year-round to plan day trips, golf outings, barbecues, an annual Super Bowl party and other events. Weekly and monthly events on the schedule include yoga, meditation, book club and poker nights.

“There is such a strong sense of community life here at The Pointe at Turnbury and a lot of that can be attributed to the work of the Social Committee,” said Lisa Macchi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Millennium Homes, the developer of The Pointe at Turnbury. “We have designed this community to meet the needs of active adults who are looking for a highly-amenitized, maintenance-free lifestyle. The Social Committee has built on that concept and has helped The Pointe at Turnbury become one of the premier active adult communities in New Jersey.”

The Social Committee produces a monthly calendar and monthly newsletter that focuses on events in the community and things to do in the Princeton area. Most events on the schedule take place in the evening, to accommodate working residents.

For those who prefer less organized recreation, the The Pointe at Turnbury’s 7,500-square foot clubhouse includes a grand salon, entertaining kitchen, sunroom, flat-screen TVs, game and card room and a billiard room. A state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor heated pool, spa, putting green and bocce courts provide hours of additional entertainment.

Located in South Brunswick, which was named one of Money magazine’s “Best Places to Live” in 2011, The Pointe at Turnbury offers residents the ability to own a private townhome in a community with friendly neighbors, a convenient location and a wide range of luxury amenities. The community attracts both value-oriented buyers and buyers at the higher end of the market because it offers a custom living experience at an affordable price point.

The Pointe at Turnbury’s location near several highways and mass-transportation centers makes it convenient for working residents as well as those who are looking to spend some of their free time in nearby cultural centers. The shops, restaurants and theatres of downtown Princeton are just a ten-minute drive away, while New York City and Philadelphia are both about an hour away by train via the Princeton Junction train station.

Prices at the 190-home active adult community are specially priced from $309,990 through June 10th, when this incentive closes out. The homes offer an array of standard high-end amenities including gourmet kitchens, finished loft spaces and convenient two-car garages. Three-bedroom, three-bath and three-bedroom, 2.5-bath designs are available, ranging from 1,844 to 2,342 square feet of available living space. Basements are available in some homes. Optional upgrades include hardwood floors, granite countertops, fashionable glass doors and five different appliance packages.
