Edison, NJ – June 3, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — The New Jersey Association of REALTORS® (NJAR®), in partnership with The Star-Ledger, will kick off its educational seminar series on June 24 at the NJ Convention and Exposition Center at Raritan Center in Edison, with a free event from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Clock is Ticking — Time to Harness Your Home Buying Power will give attendees insight on the many different aspects of buying a home.
Experts from different areas of the housing industry will offer advice on how to make informed decisions in today’s real estate market during a panel discussion led by NJAR® Executive Vice President Jarrod C. Grasso, RCE. In addition, participants will have the chance to speak to experts in a one-on-one setting. Invited speakers include representatives from the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HFMA); a Department of Housing and Urban Development- approved counseling agency; NJAR®; and Patrick O’Keefe, director of economic research for J.H. Cohn.
2009 NJAR® President Diane Dilzell says, “Understandably, many people are unsure about conditions in the current real estate market. This event will help answer their questions about financing a home and capitalizing on buyer incentives, and educate potential buyers to determine whether now is the right time for them to enter the housing market.”
The two-hour seminar features exhibits, moderated discussion, and a Q&A session. Legal and financial experts, as well as representatives of state and federal government agencies, will all be in attendance, providing a rare opportunity for participants to gather relevant information in a one-stop-shopping environment.
All consumers, be they seasoned investors or first-time home buyers, will gain useful tips and practical knowledge to help them take advantage of New Jersey’s unique conditions.
“As we all know,” Diane continues, “real estate is cyclical. Buyers here in the Garden State are facing a tremendous opportunity right now in the form of high affordability and low interest rates. These seminars will offer people thinking about buying a home the chance to learn the details about these opportunities as well as tips for making the most of them.”
Attendees will have a chance to clear away the question marks and learn about buying a home. Seating is limited and registration is required.
