Morristown, NJ – June 2, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — The Morris County Housing Authority is coordinating a Homeownership and Foreclosure Forum on June 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, 53 East Hanover Ave., in Morris Township.
The free forum will detail programs that are available to residents to help them with the home-buying process.
Among the topics to be covered are where to find low-cost loans and how to catch up on late payments, prevent foreclosure and how to take advantage of safe and affordable products like FHA-insured loans.
The forum will bring together federal and local officials, housing agencies, lending institutions and realtors to work with homeowners and home buyers. The morning session will focus on homeownership in today’s economy. The afternoon session will focus on preserving our homes and neighborhoods.

The event is a collaborative effort between the county Housing Authority, the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the United Way’s Housing Alliance of Morris County, a program that includes public, private and non-profit agencies and individuals committed to providing a broad spectrum of housing opportunities in Morris County.
