U.S. Senator Bob Menendez commended actions announced today by the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Federal Housing Administration (FHA) to strengthen the Distressed Asset Stabilization Program (DASP) in order to help struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure and stay in their homes, and assist communities suffering with high concentrations of foreclosures and distressed mortgages.

This grant comes in addition to $5.575 million already allocated to the buyout and demolition of properties in Woodbridge.

Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) located in New Jersey’s 6th District will receive a total of over $1.29 million to help with the operation and management costs associated with public housing developments.
