Payne, Menendez, Booker, Sires, PANYNJ Announce $256M in PATH Sandy Relief Grants

Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10), along with U.S. Senators Bob Menendez and Cory Booker, and U.S. Congressman Albio Sires (NJ-08), today joined Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) Executive Director Patrick Foye to announce $255,529,424 in federal grants awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to repair damage sustained by the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) rail system during Superstorm Sandy.

Smith, NJ Delegation Urge HUD Waiver for Sandy Victims

All the Members of the New Jersey Congressional Delegation sent a letter today to Secretary Julián Castro of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) urging him to exercise his authority to prevent further delays in the distribution of federal disaster assistance to victims of Superstorm Sandy. Without such action, payouts received from the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Sandy Claims Review and grants that are awarded with Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Relief (CDBG-DR) funds would be subject to a complex and costly duplication of benefits analysis

Freeholders Approve Buyouts of Flood-Prone Lincoln Park Homes
