NJCDC and Music Choice to Join Forces to Fix Paterson’s Elysian Fields Community Garden on June 10th
WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — New Jersey Community Development Corporation (NJCDC) is once again joining forces with Music Choice- the multiplatform video and music network that delivers music programming to millions of consumers nationwide through their televisions, online and mobile devices- to repair the Elysian Fields Community Garden in Paterson, NJ. Students and teachers from Paterson’s Public School 5 will work with over 150 Music Choice employees to build a Vertical Garden, weed and mulch garden beds, repair a mosaic mural, repair and paint garden boxes for families to harvest their own produce, weed and refresh the butterfly garden, and much more!
Music Choice first came to the Elysian Fields Community Garden’s rescue last year, and decided to help further improve the Garden through its MC Cares initiative. Music Choice Cares provides a helping hand to communities in need in the New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia areas by working with local individuals and providing lessons about volunteerism and giving back to the community. www.musicchoice.com

The Elysian Fields Community Garden is located behind NJCDC’s Full Service Community School at Paterson Public School 5. Community School 5 offers a variety of programs and services designed to keep the school open late, on weekends, and during the summer, as well as educational support, family workshops, and free medical and dental services, to support student success and to strengthen families. In partnership with Paterson Public Schools, NJCDC is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for youth, families, and community conducive to lifelong learning.
