NAIOP NEW JERSEY’S 25TH ANNUAL AWARDS GALA: “ONE OF THE BIGGEST EVER”
Event is Slated for May 17 at The Palace at Somerset Park
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – May 4, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — NAIOP New Jersey’s Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala is always the industry’s go-to event, and the 25th edition of the Gala will be one the biggest ever, according to the commercial real estate development association. The event is slated for Thursday, May 17, 2012 at The Palace at Somerset Park, Somerset, N.J.
“A 25th anniversary is always a landmark event to begin with,” said Michael G. McGuinness, CEO of NAIOP New Jersey. “Interest in this year’s event is running very high for two factors: One is the positive indicators and good feeling that our members have with respect to the way that New Jersey is improving its regulatory climate and that, in general, things are getting better. All of that bodes well for our industry.
“The second factor driving the heightened interest is the caliber of this year’s honorees,” said McGuinness. “We are very proud of their achievements as industry leaders and are very pleased to honor them.”
Those being honored at the black-tie event include L. Robert Lieb of Mountain Development Corp., who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Andrew J. Merin of Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, Inc. and T&M Associates will both receive the Impact Award; Wilentz Goldman & Spitzer will receive the Industry Service Award; and Seena Stein of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank will be honored with the Chairman’s Award.
The event will also feature announcement of the Deal of the Year Awards in the categories of Economic Impact, Creative Office and Creative Industrial.
“Ticket sales are ahead of last year, and last year we had a sell-out,” said Bonnie Sovinee, Director of Programs and Member Services. “We have had to extend the advertising deadline for the full-color Gala Journal because it was already a sell-out and, in response to demand, we created a full-color supplement. And sponsorships are at record levels.
“We are working with NAIOP Developing Leaders to produce a memorable video tribute,” said Sovinee. “We will hold door prize drawings for two iPads – and there will be even more exciting surprises this year.”
Tickets for NAIOP New Jersey members in good standing are $475. The fee for corporate members is $427.50, and $545 for non-members. For complete details and information, please call (732) 729-9900, or visit http://www.naiopnj.org/25Gala.
