WASHINGTON, D.C. – December 13, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — A resolution sponsored by Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose urging New Jersey citizens to “Buy American” products moved out of the Assembly Commerce and Economic Development Committee.
The bill, AR-29 cites the importance of manufacturing jobs to New Jersey, and their role in sustaining both the state’s economy and individual families.

“‘Made in America’ still stands for quality, and when you purchase products made in this country, you know it is a quality product, manufactured to safety and environmental standards, and employees were paid a fair wage,” said McHose, R-Sussex, Warren and Morris. “Even more importantly, your purchase is helping your fellow Americans pay their mortgages, heat their homes, and feed their children.”
McHose noted that manufacturing has steadily declined in New Jersey and across the country. The economic downturn acerbated the problem, eliminating well-paying American jobs as production has moved outside of the United States.
“When we make a conscious effort to ‘Buy American,’ we stimulate our domestic economy and help put more Americans to work,” McHose said. “This holiday season, I encourage residents to wrap up something ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ and give the gift of economic opportunity to some hard-working Americans.”
