Gloria Nilson & Co. Real Estate-Shrewsbury Office Hosts Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand for 8th Year in a Row
WASHINGTON, D.C. – June 10, 2013 – (RealEstateRama) — In their continuous efforts in the battle against childhood cancer, Gloria Nilson & Co. Real Estate Shrewsbury Office will host their 8th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand on Saturday. June 15th. 2013 from 11AM-3PM. at their office. 600 Broad Street. Shrewsbury. NJ 07702 (directly across from The Grove shopping center). For the fourth year, the stand will be designated an Alex’s Lemonade Grand Stand to help raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research in the hopes of finding new cures and treatments for this important cause. “Our agents and staff in the Shrewsbury office work so hard each year to put together a fun and rewarding event, and the people in our community always rise to the occasion and show their support,” says Pat Bell, president of Gloria Nilson & Co. Along with lemonade, hot dogs, cotton candy & popcorn, the Shrewsbury Office Grand Stand is slated to include family friendly activities for children of all ages. Among the activities on the agenda: face painting & music provided by DJ Mindless.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). To date, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 50l(c)3 charity, has raised more than $50 million toward fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure, funding over 150 research projects nationally.
