ENCELIUM TECHNOLOGIES’ TONY MARANO TO SERVE AS MASTER OF CEREMONIES AT THE U.S. GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL – NEW JERSEY’S ANNUAL AWARDS GALA ON MAY 19
Council’s Signature Event Recognizes Garden State’s Leaders in Sustainability and Green Building
TEANECK, N.J. – April 28, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — On May 19, Tony Marano, president and chief executive officer of Teaneck, N.J.-based Encelium Technologies, will serve as master of ceremonies for the U.S. Green Building Council – New Jersey’s (USGBC-NJ) 5th Annual “Building A Greener New Jersey” Awards Gala. At its signature event, USGBC-NJ will recognize leaders in sustainability and green building whose accomplishments have established best practices throughout the Garden State. Mayor of Newark Cory A. Booker will serve as the keynote speaker at the Gala, which will be held at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset., N.J., from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
“I am honored to serve as MC of this event where we take the time to highlight the works of those serving as driving forces in the movement toward a greener New Jersey,” said Marano, an active member of USGBC-NJ, who possesses more than 25 years in the real estate and technologies industries. “The chapter will present awards in four categories including community, green team, green ground breaking and student.”
In 2009, Marano joined Encelium, a leading international manufacturer and supplier of addressable lighting controls for commercial buildings. Encelium manufactures the Energy Control SystemTM (ECS), the most advanced lighting control solution on the market, which reduces lighting use and energy costs at a faster rate than other environmental measures. Since its founding in 2001, the company has installed ECS in more than 35 million square feet of commercial space across North America and Europe.
Throughout his distinguished career, Marano has held top leadership positions including chief executive officer of the Americas for Cushman & Wakefield in New York and the company’s global chief operating officer. In addition, he was the vice president of the business services division at Lucent Technologies as well as the vice president of global real estate for Lucent after its spinoff from AT&T.
