Association’s New President Succeeds Sean Brady of Cushman & Wakefield in that Role

ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. – October 3, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area Inc. (IOREBA) has introduced the organization’s slate of officers for 2011-2012. With roots dating back to 1927, IOREBA is a membership organization of brokerage and real estate industry-related professionals doing business in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

IOREBA’s new executive leadership is headed by David Simon, Managing Principal, New Jersey for Cassidy Turley. A long-time member of IOREBA, Simon most recently served as vice president of the organization.

“I look forward to building on the momentum created by Sean Brady over the past year,” said Simon. “He deserves special recognition for establishing new broker networking events, the Market Research Reports portal on our website and the broker awards program, with the 2011 winners announced at IOREBA’s recent Annual Golf & Tennis Outing. These initiatives resulted in increased membership and contributed to IOREBA’s success.”

“I have attended IOREBA events for many years, and have found this organization to be extremely valuable,” Simon said. “I have developed strong relationships with professionals involved in many different facets of the real estate industry, and I am excited to work with the other executive and strategic committee members this year to enhance the educational, professional and networking opportunities available to all IOREBA members.”

Other 2011-12 officers include Joshua Levering, Senior Vice President of NAI Hanson, who will serve as Vice President; Marc Graham, Director of Cushman & Wakefield, Secretary; and Adam Silver, Senior Vice President of Grubb & Ellis, Treasurer. IOREBA’s leadership also includes a 15-member executive committee and a senior council composed of more than 30 industry leaders and past presidents.

The next Executive Committee members for the Class of 2014 are: Adam Pasternack, Director of Leasing, Russo Development; Mike Marchese, Sales Associate, Newmark Knight Frank; Dan Frankel, Senior Director, Cushman & Wakefield; Douglas Kelly, President, Douglas J. Kelly Associates; Seena Stein, Managing Principal, Newmark Knight Frank; and Charles Parmelli, Vice President, Principal, Cassidy Turley.

One of the nation’s largest regional commercial real estate groups, IOREBA currently has more than 300 members. The organization has continually expanded its offerings, designing more useful programs, and teaming with co-hosts for several events to improve the networking environment. To assist members in difficult economic times, IOREBA has also cut costs for events and membership to ensure that members are able to take full advantage of everything the organization has to offer.
