Pallone Announces $4.69 Million for Public Housing in New Jersey’s 6th District
Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) located in New Jersey’s 6th District will receive grants totaling $4.69 million in Operating Subsidy awards. The funding, which is awarded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), provides assistance to PHAs to help with the operation and management costs associated with public housing developments. Housing Authorities throughout the 6th District, in both Middlesex and Monmouth counties, will receive funding.
Pallone, Pascrell, Sires, Watson Coleman Call for Revised Water Supply Master Plan
Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) joined his New Jersey colleagues, U.S. Reps. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (NJ-09), Albio Sires (NJ-08) and Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), in urging Governor Christie to revise the outdated NJ Statewide Water Supply Master Plan (NJSWSP), the planning mechanism by which New Jersey approaches management of its water needs. The last major reconsideration of the plan was adopted in 1996 under Governor Christine Todd Whitman.
Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority Celebrates Environmental Excellence

LaMalfa Helps Shape Water Appropriations

Governor Christie Takes Action on Recommendations to Stem Homelessness in New Jersey
Acting on recommendations from The Interagency Council on Homelessness, Governor Chris Christie today announced the formation of a Working Group to further explore ways in which to reduce and prevent homelessness in New Jersey. Specifically, the Working Group will consider implementation of the proposals put forth by the Interagency Council, including Housing First policies, Rapid Re-Housing, and improved coordination among state agencies and social service providers that deliver key services to homeless individuals and families and those at risk of homelessness.
