WASHINGTON, D.C. – July 17, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — The cool of the evening at an “English garden” right in the heart of Morris County will greet guests at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum on Friday night (July 17) as they savor special desserts and the musical stylings of classical guitarist, Alan Rigoletto.
This program, which is part of a year-long Morris County Park Commission series, ‘Focus on England,” takes place at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morris Township, from 7-8:30 p.m. this Friday and again on August 21.
“We are presenting two evenings in the Cottage Garden. This kind of garden was first planted in England by a newly burgeoning middle class,” explained Lesley Parness, Superintendent of Horticultural Education at the Park Commission.
Alan Rigoletto studied classical guitar in Germany and in the United States. He has performed in 17 countries and will be playing an assortment of British music from medieval chamber pieces to British rock. His music page can be found at www.alanrigoletto.com
The Frelinghuysen’s Cottage Garden is adjacent to Matilda’s Cafe where guests will receive a plate filled with a sumptuous array of desserts, including White Chocolate and Vanilla Bean German Cheese Cake with Thyme Honey, a Glazed Fruit Tart filled with Grand Marnier-infused Pastry Cream and more. A Pomegranate Spritzer or Café Frappe are the beverage options.
This fee for this event is $15 per person. For more information, please visit: www.arboretumfriends.org.
