150 Volunteers Join Forces to Bring More Play to Paterson, NJ

PS#29, NJCDC and Alexandra’s Playground Build a New Playground for Paterson School >Saturday, October 24th 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

WHAT:
More than 150 volunteers from Alexandra’s Playground, PS#29, the New Jersey Community Development Corporation and Paterson residents will join forces on Saturday, October 24th to build a new playground for PS#29 elementary school students in Paterson, NJ. The new playground will feature state-of-the-art playground equipment developed by Kompan that will motivate active and imaginative play including climbing, balancing and spinning activities. Volunteers will also enhance the school yard with benches and a community garden.

Alexandra’s Playground Alexandra’s Playground: Alexandra’s Playground was founded in 2009 to honor the memory of Alexandra Vitale. A NY registered charity and 501c3, Alexandra’s Playground was founded on the principle that active play leads to the nurturing of the spirit, and by extension, to the nurturing of young bodies and minds.
