MPD makes arrest for theft of MFD truck, recovers stolen property

Midland police arrested 29-year-old Estaban Pando at around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday after receiving a tip through Midland Crime Stoppers regarding his involvement in the theft of Midland Fire Department’s Station 6 squad truck early Tuesday morning. It is believed that Pando and another unknown suspect stole the Chevrolet Silverado 3500 from outside the station before abandoning it in east Midland. The truck sustained significant damage and had equipment taken from it.
