EPA Announces Cleanup Plan for the Ellis Property Site in Evesham Township, New Jersey;...

New York, N.Y. - October 31, 2013 - (RealEstateRama) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has finalized its plan to clean up soil contaminated with trichloroethylene and other volatile organic compounds at the Ellis Property Superfund site in Evesham Township, New Jersey. The contaminated soil is polluting ground water underlying the site. The ground water is not currently being used as a source of drinking water, but ground water at the site has been used in the past for drinking water and for irrigation of farmland nearby. Exposure to trichloroethylene and other volatile organic compounds can have serious health impacts, including liver damage and increased risk of cancer.
