New Broker-Manager To Lead Gloria Nilson, REALTORS®, Real Living®’s Shrewsbury Office
March 16, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Susan Svikhart knows how to manage a sales force. Having previously spent six years recruiting retail sales teams, leading training and continuing education programs for commission-based sales workers and developing an Excellence in Customer Service program, Svikhart will bring her years of management expertise to her new position as the Broker-Manager of Gloria Nilson, REALTORS®, Real Living’s Shrewsbury office this month.
“Susan’s background in recruiting and training entire sales teams and her ability to coordinate the many demanding aspects of opening major retail operations have complemented the professionalism and skill she has brought to her real estate career thus far,” explained Pat Bell, President of Gloria Nilson. “Since Susan’s start in her new role we’re already seeing the positive impact she is bringing to the business.”
After leaving the retail world, Svikhart earned her real estate license in 2003 and joined a real estate firm in New Jersey as an agent. In 2009, she joined Gloria Nilson REALTORS® as a sales associate in the Rumson office. Svikhart earned her broker’s license in December 2011 and was promoted to Broker-Manager of the Shrewsbury location.
“My work at Gloria Nilson, REALTORS® has been rewarding, and I wanted to apply some of the team building and recruitment skills I have to a career I have come to love. For me, that meant getting a broker’s license,” said Svikhart. “I’m excited about this next phase of my career, and the skilled professionals I’m working with at the Shrewsbury office.”
With nine years of real estate experience to her credit – the last three with Gloria Nilson, REALTORS® – Svikhart said she and her 30 sales associate colleagues see positive trends ahead for them as the real estate market begins gaining more momentum.
“I’m extremely excited to be managing this team of agents in a market where interest rates are at historic lows and buyers and sellers have a clear-eyed view of the real estate market as the economy continues to strengthen,” said Svikhart.
With a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Svikhart makes her home in Shrewsbury where she has lived with her husband and three children since 1994. She is an active member of her children’s Parent/Teacher organizations and has spent 15 years as a volunteer for the Monmouth Conservation Foundation. Additionally she is a past board member of the Newcomers Club of Rumson, Fair Haven, Little Silver & Shrewsbury.
