Celebration to be held Dec. 8-9

Edison, N.J. – December 8, 2014 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, the New Jersey Association of Realtors announced it has rebranded and will now be known as the New Jersey Realtors, or NJ Realtors for short. In addition to its new name, the organization has revealed a new logo and website, all designed to enhance the member and consumer experience.

“With over 43,000 members serving countless clients, our new name ‘New Jersey Realtors’ puts a renewed focus on the people who help make communities flourish,” said 2014 NJ Realtors President, Cindy Marsh-Tichy. “Additionally, the rebranding fits perfectly into our 2014-16 strategic plan, which, among other things, seeks to show the value of membership and the benefits of using a Realtor when buying or selling a property.”

The new logo represents the different sectors of the real estate market that members of NJ Realtors specialize in – housing and commercial. It is a modern interpretation of single-family homes, townhomes and multi-family housing, and commercial buildings.

“When a Realtor or a consumer views our new logo, with or without the label ‘New Jersey Realtors,’ it will be clear that the organization is involved in the real estate industry,” said Jarrod C. Grasso, chief executive officer of NJ Realtors. “It furthers our long-standing credibility as the voice for real estate in New Jersey and provides a level of trust, especially when consumers use NJ Realtors as a resource.”

Online, this can be felt through the brand new NJ Realtors website, which has been given a new home at njrealtor.com. On the site, which is intuitive, user-friendly, and device-responsive, consumers and members alike will find useful information on a new interface. Members will have more direct access to education, legal forms, advocacy and government affairs information and much more. Consumers can find a wealth of resources for buyers and sellers, including tools such as mortgage calculators, tips on selling a home, why they should use a Realtor, and a revitalized search feature to find a Realtor, which can be based on their current location or through a number of search categories.

“Over the course of the last year, we’ve worked very hard to ensure that New Jersey Realtors is the voice for real estate in New Jersey by creating an engaging consumer experience on our new website,” said Allison Rosen, director of communications. “Consumers can feel confident that they’re getting the best information available, including the incredible market statistics we provide in partnership with the MLSs in the state.”

Both Realtors and consumers can take advantage of NJ Realtors’ market statistics, which are updated on a monthly basis. Consumers have access to state and county reports, and can contact a Realtor to see any of the 565 municipality reports for the state. Additionally, NJ Realtors provides both monthly and quarterly short video updates, for a quick analysis of what’s happening in the state’s housing market. All of this data and the videos are available at njrealtor.com.

In celebration of the new brand, NJ Realtors is holding an official launch December 8 and 9, to coincide with the annual Realtors Triple Play Convention and Trade Expo in Atlantic City. Realtors and other attendees are encouraged to participate in the NJ Realtors selfie contest, using the hashtag #NJRealtors on Facebook and Twitter to have a chance to win prizes. The contest will be held at booth #501, which also features an enhanced interactive member experience.
