Lt. Governor Guadagno Joins General Baptist Convention of New Jersey to Open New Headquarters in Trenton
Trenton Club Building Renovated as Home for Convention Leadership, Social Programs
Trenton, NJ – June 2, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — Welcoming residents from across New Jersey, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno joined leadership of the General Baptist Convention of New Jersey (GBCNJ) at Shiloh Baptist Church for a dedication ceremony of the new GBCNJ headquarters on West State Street in Trenton.
“We have come together under one roof today as we dedicate not just a building but a renewed and strengthened community. Thank you for your leadership and your willingness to make a change for the better here in Trenton and throughout the State,” said Lt. Governor Guadagno. “This new headquarters is more than bricks and mortar. It is home. It will be the heart of a faith-based and prayerful community in New Jersey.”
For more than 100 years, the GBCNJ has served its members, including more than 300,000 parishioners at more than 300 churches, without a fixed center of operations. Today’s dedication marks the opening of the GBCNJ’s new headquarters in the renovated 10,000-square-foot building that was once the home of the Trenton Club. The headquarters will support the organization’s operations and provide space and opportunities to host seminars, workshops and service programs for the community.
Lt. Governor Guadagno was joined by, among others, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12), Senator Shirley Turner (D-Hunterdon and Mercer), Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes, and Trenton Mayor Eric Jackson.
