Hamilton, NJ – September 29, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — The Foundation for Housing is soliciting “member friendly” proposals for two (2) grants of up to $10,000 a piece for projects that will help fulfill our mission in support of housing in New Jersey:
- Accessibility Grant– Up to $10,000.00 to improve accessibility in a building(s) (single family, remodel, multifamily, commercial) in New Jersey. This project should enhance safety and access for the occupants.
- Energy Efficiency Grant– Up to $10,000.00 to improve energy efficiency in a building (single family, remodel, multifamily, commercial) in New Jersey. This project should enhance comfort and lower operating costs for the occupants.
Criteria:
- Applicants must be members of the New Jersey Builders Association.
- The project should leverage the grant through in-kind or cash contributions.
- The project should have a broad impact on like projects that await improvement.
Proposals:
- Due October 30th. Awards will be granted by November 15th 2010.
- A letter format is acceptable describing the project, ownership or client contact, value to the recipient, and how this proposal supports the concepts of either accessibility or energy efficiency.
- Work on such projects should be completed by March 31, 2011.
- Occupant /owner must be available for photography and interview(s) on completion of the project for general marketing and publicity purposes.
