ENCELIUM TECHNOLOGIES’ GARY MESHBERG TO SPEAK AT IESNYC’S CONTROLTHIS! 2011
Industry Veteran’s Educational Seminar to Address “The Commissioning Process: IESNA DG29”
TEANECK, N.J./NEW YORK, N.Y. – September 27, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Encelium Technologies’ Gary Meshberg, LEED-AP, LC, director of sales, has been named a guest speaker at the Illuminating Engineering Society-New York Chapter’s (IESNYC) ControlThis! 2011 on Thursday, October 20. An industry veteran and chair of the IESNYC Design Guide Committee, Meshberg will address “The Commissioning Process: IESNA DG29.”
ControlThis! will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion located at 125 West 18th Street in New York City from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The second annual educational event and expo for IESNYC, ControlThis! is an exploration of the state-of-the-art lighting control industry as it relates to the two great challenges now facing the industry: the control of LED lighting and energy management.
Meshberg’s presentation is part of the event’s “Construction and Commissioning Track.” It will focus on important design decisions related to today’s lighting control technology and strategies.
“The learning objective of this session is to provide an understanding of how to ensure the proper system is specified, installed and commissioned to meet the original design objectives,” said Meshberg, who possesses more than 27 years of experience. “Also, the program will address an array of typical problems encountered and how to overcome those potential obstacles throughout each phase of design and construction.”
At Encelium, Meshberg oversees all sales initiatives in the South Central U.S. region related to the company’s Energy Control SystemTM (ECS), the most advanced lighting control solution on the market. ECS incorporates six distinct, user-friendly energy management strategies that include daylight harvesting; smart-time scheduling; task tuning; personal software-based controls; and variable load shedding. Utilizing the power of addressable networking technology in conjunction with advanced control hardware and software, ECS typically secures lighting energy savings of 50 to 75 percent in a wide range of commercial applications.
Since its inception in 2001, Encelium has installed ECS in more than 40 million square feet of commercial space throughout North America and Europe. These installations range from office buildings, schools and healthcare and public facilities, to parking garages and stadiums. Headquartered in Teaneck, N.J., Encelium maintains operations in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
Meshberg is a sought-after speaker and acknowledged expert in the lighting field. He is the current vice president of the Lighting Controls Association, past chairperson of the Home Lighting Control Alliance, and past education chairperson for the North Texas Section of the IESNA. In addition to his presentations at several IESNA functions, he often speaks at LIGHTFAIR International as well as numerous manufacturer-sponsored seminars and events in Canada, Latin America and the United States.
