Industrial Broker Cites Organization’s Educational Value, Membership Quality

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – June 22, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. Executive Director Stan Danzig has been appointed to the board of directors for the Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). Danzig, who is serving as a WERC director at large, joins an impressive board for a two-year term starting 2011-2012. He is based in Cushman & Wakefield’s East Rutherford office where he focuses on industrial leasing and sales, land tract transactions, and national/global corporate representation.

WERC is the only professional organization focused on warehouse management and its role in the supply chain, providing practical, how-to information to help members grow professionally as they improve warehouse and company performance. WERC is a not-for-profit organization. Its members are professionals who lead, direct and manage the efficient flow of information, materials and finished goods throughout the supply chain. They come from various backgrounds, representing a range of distribution interests.

“WERC is an excellent forum and resource for information and education on key logistics and supply chain issues facing the industry,” Danzig said. “The diversity and quality of its membership provides an impressive depth of perspective, and the people involved clearly appreciate this value. It is an honor to be able to contribute to its progress as a member of the board for the coming year.”

Danzig, a 30-year Cushman & Wakefield veteran who serves on the firm’s Global Supply Chain Solutions Executive Committee, has led complex acquisition transactions as well as dispositions structured as sales; sale/leasebacks; and numerous build-to-suit leases/sales for more than 100 million square feet of space, as well as land transactions. His client base includes such notable organizations as Crate & Barrel, Colgate, Mercedes Benz, ProLogis, Prudential, Rockefeller Group and Western Union, among others.

In addition to his position with WERC, Danzig’s professional and civic affiliations include (or have included) memberships in the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association (IOREBA) and NAIOP New Jersey; and board of directors positions for the New Jersey Special Olympics and Integrity, Inc., a drug rehabilitation program in Newark, N.J.
