24th Annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards Honors Creative Excellence, Industry Achievement

-

Atlantic City, NJ – April 6, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) honored the industry’s most creative, skillful and successful projects at the 24th Annual Sales and Marketing (SAM) Awards Banquet, kicking-off the 62nd Atlantic Builders Convention on April 5, 2011. Each year, the SAM Awards recognizes excellence in residential design and marketing programs within New Jersey; this year was no exception. Builders, as well as companies that supply products and services to the building industry are eligible for a SAM Award.

The highly-anticipated gala event was attended by more than 400 enthusiastic advertising, sales, marketing, media, and homebuilding industry professionals. It was held at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino and Resort in Atlantic City.

The housing market continues to evolve, as does the way in which sales and marketing efforts are conducted. In response, the SAM program has, too. Some of the more notable changes included:

  • The addition and expansion of the rental, redevelopment, remodeling, and mixed-use categories;
  • Categories which recognize the emergence of, and excellence within, e-marketing and other “new” media campaigns; plus
  • An exclusive online submission system which maximizes efficiencies and conserves resources.

The highly-coveted awards were presented in 80 categories this year recognizing “Best in Class” sales and marketing initiatives in residential marketing, architectural design, remodeling, and individual creative achievements.

“Tonight’s gala honors those whose creativity, dedication and professional accomplishments contribute so much to New Jersey’s housing industry,” stated NJBA President, Thomas F. Critelli.

Stephanie Shaffery, SAM Committee Chair and Owner of 20 Twenty Graphics, LLC said, “Advertising and marketing initiatives are critical in a competitive and evolving marketplace. This is especially true today when so many companies have cut their marketing budgets. Sales and marketing professionals need to be more strategic to ensure that they realize a return in their investment in marketing. We applaud the talented individuals and companies that have been honored tonight with a SAM award.”

Critelli continued, “The SAM awards are regarded as the most desired recognition for sales and marketing achievement within the New Jersey building industry. Now more than ever, it is important to communicate that it’s a great time to buy new construction. Interest rates are low, inventory is plentiful, prices are competitive, incentives are available, and buying a new home is still a sound, long-term investment.”
