NJBA Unveils Proactive Solutions to State’s Housing Situation

-

April 15, 2008 – Today, from the 59th Annual Atlantic Builders Convention in Atlantic City, the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA) announced its part in a series of initiatives designed to address New Jersey’s current housing situation. From regulatory matters, to the economy, to affordable housing options and stream-lining bureaucratic processes, NJBA is actively engaged in efforts to make the state a better place for its citizens.

“NJBA as an association, and on behalf of its more than 2000 member organizations, remains committed to providing choice, affordability and diversity when it comes to where and how we all live,” said NJBA President, Barry Solondz. “As we look ahead, and as these initiatives move forward, NJBA is confident that our role in these activities will benefit all New Jerseyans, and the generations that will follow.”

The NJBA is dedicated to helping revitalize communities, improving quality of life, maximizing efficiencies within government, and finding balanced and reasonable solutions to our state’s housing needs. The building industry continues its pioneering efforts in identifying and developing energy-efficient and “green” building materials and practices.

According to NJBA President-Elect, Stephen Patron, “It is our goal to preserve open space without forsaking New Jersey’s need to provide affordable housing options. Buyers want choices; we want to provide them.”

These collaborative initiatives will roll-out over the coming weeks and months, and are designed to help stimulate the state’s economy, continue providing work for our skilled labor force, and ensure that consumers have the right to choose where and how they live without looking outside of New Jersey.
