Popular massage clinic to open in The Promenade Shops at Clifton
FORT LEE, NJ – March 27, 2008 – Metro Commercial today announced that it has executed a 2,552-square-foot lease transaction for Massage Envy at The Promenade Shops at Clifton, a new retail center now being constructed in Northern NJ. The therapeutic massage clinic is scheduled to open in the fall of 2008.
Metro Commercial’s Ira Kerner represented Massage Envy in the lease transaction. Kerner has helped pave the way for Massage Envy’s regional growth, having leased nearly 20,000-square-feet of retail space for the clinic.
Massage Envy has grown rapidly since its inception in 2002 and currently has 309 clinics and 709 franchises open nationwide. Annual sales total $100 million. The franchise was No. 149 on the 2007 Entrepreneur Magazine “Franchise 500” and No. 3 on the list of 25 top new franchises.
Massage Envy’s new location is in one of the most promising retail centers in Northern NJ. In the early stages of development, The Promenade Shops at Clifton is a 110,000-square-foot Poag & McEwen lifestyle center that will feature a mix of national and regional retailers in an open-air setting. There are over 600,000 people residing within a five mile radius of the super lifestyle center that is expected to kick-off this fall.
Metro Commercial, the region’s largest full-service retail real estate firm, also brokered a 2,945-
square-foot lease transaction for Cosi restaurant at The Promendade Shops at Clifton.
