Attention Architects, Planners, Builders and Electrical Professionals: Earn Continuing Educational Credits at the Atlantic Builders Convention

Robbinsville, NJ – April 15, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — The Atlantic Builders Convention (ABC) – the Northeast’s largest building industry tradeshow – offers various designations and continuing education credits for builders, planners, architects and electrical professionals. Credits can be earned April 21-24, 2009 during the ABC which takes place at the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

AICP Certification Maintenance credits
AICP Planners are now required to obtain 32 credits every two years. The following are courses approved for AICP credits:

  • Annual Environmental Review (Part 1) – 3 CM Credits
  • Brownfield Remediation and Redevelopment – Stay Abreast of Regulatory Changes – 1.5 CM Credits
  • COAH’s Revolving Door: What’s In and Out – 1.5 CM Credits
  • The Legal and Business Aspects of Building Green – 1.5 CM Credits
  • Trends in Environmental Law (Part 2) – 3 CM Credits
  • Trends in Land Use Law – 1.5 CM Credits

Architects AIA Credits
The following seminars are approved for AIA credit:

  • EIFS with Drainage – 1 LU HSW
  • Stucco AIA – 1 LUHSW
  • Introduction to Engineered Lumber for Residential Construction – 2 LU HSW
  • Residential Structural Framing – 1 CEU
  • Window Installation – 1 CEU 1HSW
  • Tyvek 1 Managing Moisture and Solving Water Instruction Problems – 1 LU HSW
  • Wall Bracing & Architectural Design – 2 LU HSW
  • Moisture Management with Rainscreen Strategy – 3 CEU
  • Building Green Exteriors using Fiber Cement Products – 1 LU HSW
  • Windows, Energy, Green Building – 1 CEU
  • Understanding Foundation Flood Vents – 1 LU HSW

NAHB Green Building for Building Professionals
Building professionals can earn continuing education designation credits at the Atlantic Builders Convention. This two-day course will discuss strategies and techniques for incorporating green-building principles into homes without driving up the cost of construction and provide buyers lower maintenance, better air quality and better log tern value.
