Long Branch, NJ – June 28, 2016 – (RealEstateRama) — Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced more than $5 million in grants to the Bayshore Regional Sewerage Authority (BRSA) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to assist in the recovery from Hurricane Sandy. The grants will help repair BRSA’s main pumping station and Dewatering/Incineration building.

“Sandy severely damaged critical components of infrastructure at BRSA, and these grants will help make necessary repairs to the Bayshore’s sewerage system,” said Pallone. “As communities continue to recover from Sandy, these grants help to lessen the financial hit that our local governments still continue to face.”

BRSA serves Hazlet, Union Beach, Holmdel, Aberdeen, Keansburg, Keyport, Matawan and parts of Marlboro. Pallone has announced more than $20 million in grants for BRSA in its efforts to recover from Superstorm Sandy, including $16 million to repair damage to two sewerage incinerators at the facility
